If the words ‘children's' and ‘party' are enough to get you reaching for the sweet jar and the thought of entertaining a class full of your child's pals leaves you drained of colour, then read on! Osbaston Farm Pony Parties is an idea that we started when we noticed a gap in the market for animal and pony mad children…..and it’s just taken off, it’s so terrifically popular!The children take part in a fun ‘hands on’ experience with the gorgeous miniature Shetland ponies; enjoying grooming, making a fuss of the ponies and taking the ponies for a walk. The party highlight is an exciting series of on foot gymkhana field games followed by a triumphant, finishing ceremony with prize rosettes awarded for the ‘Best Dressed Pony’, ‘Best Pony Handler’ and ‘Best Gymkhana Pony’. An old converted stable provides the ‘den’ for the party and the children soon make themselves at home enjoying the traditional home made party food, music and games. All the party food is prepared and baked in the farmhouse kitchen; classic party favourties….cookie cutter sandwiches, vegetable dips, mini sausage rolls, mini fruit fondue, jolly jelly boats, gingerbread animals and iced fairy cakes.
