Shetland Pony Stud: Osbaston Stud

The story begins with a passing thought I had in the Spring of 2007 of owning a couple of ponies. Within a relatively short period of time, and after a visit to the Merilin Stud, I had fallen in love with the breed, and particularly two strawberry roan fillies and a very showy chestnut ... By the autumn of 2007, events had taken on a life of their own and Osbaston Stud was well underway.

I intend Osbaston Stud to be a small concern, established for the priviledge of owning these legendary, native breeds renowned for their hardiness and strength. I have a preference for strawberry roan and chestnut ponies and my intention is to breed and show ponies of the correct type, conformation, movement and temperament. With this in mind, I have carefully chosen my foundation stock with the advice and guidance of several established studs, particularly Lin Henson of the renowned Merilin Stud. All ponies are registered with the Shetland Pony Stud Book Society and have excellent pedigrees, conformation and temperaments.

Visitors are welcome - it's always great to chat about ponies. Please telephone or email first to arrange a suitable time.
